Savior, pilot me.

Jesus, Savior, pilot me
Over life’s tempestuous sea;
Unknown waves before me roll,
Hiding rock and treacherous shoal.
Chart and compass come from Thee;
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
Truly singing this to the Lord can be terrifying. His ways are so unlike mine. He’s always surprising me with His plans. I plan and plan and plan and then He reminds me that he calls His followers to leave all they have and live for His purpose.
What does He ask of me? A blank check, every day. A clear plate. Nothing on the table. You get the picture. He asks for total surrender. That’s so hard — but nothing is more beautiful than when you see his plans unfold.
